

John Alan Belders, 83, of Euless, Texas, passed away on March 2, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 16, 1941, in Hastings, Nebraska, to Floyd William Belders and Nina Pinkley Belders.
John earned a Bachelor of Science from Texas Wesleyan University and dedicated his career to the medical field, serving as Director of Laboratory at Campbell Hospital until his retirement in 2010. A respected mentor and colleague, he left a lasting impact on those he worked with.
On October 5, 1961, John married the love of his life, Linda Joy Amason. Together, they built a beautiful life, raising two children and later cherishing their roles as grandparents. Family was John’s greatest joy, and he treasured every moment spent with his loved ones.
Known affectionately to his family as “Buzzy” and to his grandchildren as “Grandad,” John enjoyed cooking, quilting, and reading in his free time. His passion for quilting was especially meaningful, as he created many cherished quilts for his family and friends.
John is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Linda Joy Belders; his children, Kimberly Belders Southard and John Matthew Belders (Pam); his beloved grandchildren, Ashley Brumley, Baylor Southard, Lindley Kay Jager, Bethany Taylor, and Amelia Southard; and great-grandchild Grayson Brumley, with another on the way. He is also survived by his sister, Ann Kimmel, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate John’s life will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 2:00 PM, with visitation beginning at 12:00 PM, at Moore Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 1219 N. Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to be made to Mission Arlington.
John will be remembered for his kindness, dedication, and unwavering love for his family. He leaves behind a legacy of warmth, wisdom, and cherished memories.
