He was born on 08/20/1927 in Hogansville, GA to Alfred Hill and Eddie Lee Ragsdale. He married Vera Jeanette Hale on November 29, 1958 and they had one child, John.
He proudly served in the Navy for 20 years, serving on the USS Juneau during the Korean War. After the Navy, he worked for NASA and then Vought, from which he retired.
John is survived by his son John, and grandson Sean. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Parnell, Ronald, Wendell, and sister Lavonne.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 7 from 2-4pm, with services to follow at 4:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home in Arlington, TX. John wishes to be buried next to his wife in York, AL, so there will be no Interment after the service.
