

Johnny entered the Air Force at 20 years of age and married Brenda Jones on June 5, 1966 before being deployed to Vietnam.
In 1980 began his career in the airline industry and continued this line of work until his retirement in January 2005.
It was at this time that Johnny began his fervent research and pursuit of a cure for his lung disease by participating in several trial programs and entering the Lung Disease and Transplantation Program at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. His retirement gave him time to serve with the Ambassador Program at DFW Airport as well as several ministry opportunities at Pantego Bible Church.
He is survived by, Brenda, his wife of 47 years; their daughters and sons in law Tammy and Gary Locke of Arlington, TX and Tonya and Andy Clark of Dallas, TX. He was preceded in death by grandson Austin Locke and survived by grandchildren Paige, Meredith, Garrison and Sarah Locke, and Drew and Audrey Clark. He is also survived by his brother Joe Landers and wife Patsy, his sister Betty Jackson, and his mother and father in law, Charles and Wanda Jones.
