Funeral: 2 pm Friday at Moore Funeral Home, followed by the interment in Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held prior to the service, starting at 12 noon.
Born in Port Neches, TX on April 19, 1939, Joseph Hammonds graduated from Handley High School in 1957 and received a Bachelor of Business from the University of Texas Arlington in 1996.
He was married to Dorothy Marie Hammonds on August 11, 1961. Joseph Hammonds was an instructor at Tarrant County College. He taught a building service maintenance program at the Federal Correctional Institution. He was a Master Mason, minister, teacher, loving husband and father.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy Hammonds; son, Paul Hammonds; daughter, Susan Walters; grandchildren, Nathan Walters, Jarrod Hammonds, Emma Walters, Kaylyn Hammonds; and brothers, Jerry and Jack Hammonds.
