Graveside Service: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 N. Davis Dr., Arlington, 76012. Visitation: 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Moore Funeral Home.
Joseph was born February 9, 1927 in Cook County, Illinois to Conrad and Minnie Kirschner. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1945 and was honorably discharged in 1946. He began a long career at General Motors in 1954 and retired on April 1, 1980 after many years of dedicated service. He was a man who lead a very simple life who will be greatly missed by his family.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, two sisters, and one great-grandchild.
Survivors: children, Debbie Dowell and husband, Robert, John D. Kirschner and wife, Jackie, and Melody Powell and husband, James; grandchildren, April, Corey, Casey, Joseph, Krystal, and Taylor; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Dildine and Mary Johnston; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
