Joyce was born on February 4, 1933, in Joliet, Illinois, to Ignazio Ferrandello and Mafalda Nardocci Ferrandello. She was raised in Chicago and later made Arlington, Texas, her home. Joyce retired from the U.S. Postal Service in Arlington, where she worked as an accounting assistant.
Joyce created lifelong friendships through her love of bridge, playing with her local club as well as traveling around the world to play. She achieved the prestigious rank of Ruby Life Master. She was also a dedicated volunteer at Arlington Memorial Hospital and a member of the Arlington Women’s Club.
She enjoyed traveling, particularly cruising, and most of all, spending time with her family.
Joyce was preceded in death by her grandson, Chris Zachry.
She is survived by her daughter, Janie Zachry; sons, Frank Zachry and James Zachry and his wife, Teresa; granddaughters, Kimberly Trott and her husband, Joel, and Sarah Cannon and her husband, Steve Gregg; granddaughter-in-law, Wendy Zachry; and great-grandchildren, Michael, William, and Matthew Zachry and Nora Cannon.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 2100 North Davis Drive, Arlington, Texas, on September 26, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. A graveside service will follow at Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, Texas.
