

Juanita Barron Wood was born on February 19th , 1938 in Sylacauga, Alabama. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Juanita was known as a strong-willed, devoted, and driven person.
She worked for the United States Postal Service in Contract Management for 38 years until she retired. During retirement, she enjoyed: reading, gardening, sewing, coin collecting, genealogy, and learning about the stock market. Juanita was also a registered Republican. She enjoyed phone calls with her sons regularly to share stories and her unwavering political opinions.
Juanita went to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, January 24th, 2024.
Juanita was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Charles E. Wood.
She is survived by her two sons and daughter-in-law, Charles Wood, Jr. and Jeffery and Michele Wood;
five granddaughters: Heather (Wood) van Leeuwen, Sarah Wood, Sumere Wood, Amber Wood, and Angelina Wood; and great-granddaughter, Ophelia van Leeuwen.
Juanita wrote down the following bible verse on 11/11/09, soon after her husband, Charles, passed away:
“To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.”

A visitation for Juanita will be held Saturday, February 10, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012, followed by a graveside service from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM.
