

Judy Smith Lytle, 75, of Arlington, Texas, passed away on the 6th of May, 2023. She was born in Waco, Texas in 1947. Judy graduated from University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, and was married to Chuck in 1968. Judy taught mathematics to children for twenty years, first in Dickinson, Texas, and then at Shackelford Junior High in Arlington. She was a member of Lamar Baptist Church, The Women's Club of Arlington, and Encore Club. Judy was an avid reader, bridge player, and recipe collector. She had a passion for art, gardening, birds, and her pets. Over the years, she painted a variety of beautiful canvases and pottery, and created other artwork and crafts such as stained glass and knitting. She sewed clothing, blankets, and a number of beautiful quilts for her family and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her, but especially her husband, Chuck, of over 54 years, her sister Susan, son Greg, daughter Erin, son in-law Matthew, daughter in-law Heather, her grandchildren Lucille, Eloise, Charlie, Evelyn, Jack, and Beatrice, and her beloved dog, Chewy. She is also survived by 14 sisters and brothers in-law, and 31 nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. A Memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, the 30th of May, at Lamar Baptist Church.
