J.C was born December 8, 1931, in Perrin, Texas.
After schooling J.C. went on to manage a poultry plant. Served during the Korean War 1950 -1953 earning a rank of Sergeant. Had a career with Lone Star Gas in Fort Worth and retired in 1994. He had a passion for golf and played every chance he could. He would give his grandchildren many fun rides on his golf cart around the neighborhood. Loved going to baseball and softball games.
J.C. was preceded in death by his wife Audrey Beatrice Miles; sons, David Michael Miles, and Jackie Ray Hammack; daughter Linda Susan Hammack; both parents and 4 siblings.
Survivors: Brother Ray Miles and Sister Norma Jean Kerr; grandchildren: Stephen Young, Yvette Giraud, Alison Cox, Brian Cox, William Hammack, Robert Hammack, Melissa Miles and Ashley Miles; 10 great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Junior will be held Tuesday, November 15, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, November 16, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012. A committal service will occur Wednesday, November 16, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012.
