Sue loved her Lord first and then her family with unconditional love. Sue was a member of Lamar Baptist Church for over 40 years, enjoyed the fellowship of her Sunday school group and the functions that they would attend. She always looked forward to traveling, outings with her sister Jeannine, and lunch dates with lifelong friends. Sue was the happiest when she was with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and those that were her honorary kids. Sue retired from Chaparral Technologies as the office manager for over 20 years. After retirement Sue volunteered at KCBI radio, Mission Arlington, and Shepherd’s Call. Mimi was proud of her grandchildren and great grandchildren and always, prompted or not, had a story and a picture to show. Sue/Mom/Mimi’s “dessert first” attitude will be missed by all who met her.
Sue was preceded in death by her husband and high school sweetheart of 48 years Wilbert B Gales, her parents John Maroney Sr & Jenny Bryant Maroney, sisters: Mary Blodgett, Helen Askins, Billie Dean Horton, June Gee, brothers: John Maroney Jr, Harold Maroney, Don Maroney, Mickey Maroney
