She married Earl Ray Parrish September 27, 1949. She then came to the states in December 1955, and became a US citizen in 1959. Katharina lived in West Point, NY from 1963-1970, and in 1970 she moved to Arlington, TX. She was active in Rebekah Lodge for 45 years, where she served as a Grand Matriarch and President of Department of LAPM of Texas. She was also a National Counselor for the Daughters of America.
Katharina was survived by her Husband Ray, Daughter Diana Shipman and Sons Henry Parrish, Frank Parrish, and Russell Parish; Grandchildren, Jamie Shipman II, Marisa Miller, Howard Parrish, Valerie Parrish, Cassandra Parrish; and 7 Great Grandchildren.
A visitation for Katharina will be held Friday, December 1, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home , 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, Texas 76012.
