Kathy Jo Rachel

Service: 3 p.m. Tuesday at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis, Arlington. Burial will be in Moore Memorial Gardens, immediately following. Family visitation: 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at Moore Funeral Home.

Memorials: May be sent to Pleasantview Baptist Church, Arlington, Texas, Benevolent Fund.

Kathy was born on May 29, 1971, in Cuero. She was adopted by her parents, Bob and Janice Rachel, at the age of 3 months, and spent her first 34 years with them in Arlington. In 2004 her mother passed away, and in May 2005 Kathy was placed in a group home where she was passionately cared for by the loving staff at Texas Quality Care, for the remainder of her time here on earth.

Kathy lived a very difficult life, suffering from bipolar disorder, and many other challenges too numerous to mention. She worked in her father's business for a number years, until she was no longer able.

Kathy was preceded in death by her mother, Janice Rachel, in 2004.

Survivors: Her father, Bob Rachel Sr. and wife, Keri Rachel, of Arlington; brothers, William Kelton Rachel and wife, Cheryl, of Burleson and Bobby Van Rachel Jr. and wife, Kari, of Arlington; along with many, many friends and the staff at Texas Quality Care.
