Kay Annis Sanders

Kay Sanders, age 79, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 23, 2025 in Rockwall, Texas. She was born on April 10, 1946 in Birmingham, Alabama to Ed and Toots Turbeville. Kay was raised in Jackson, Mississippi and graduated from the University of Mississippi for Women in 1968. She married Neal Sanders in 1968 and the couple had one child, Tracye.

She was a homemaker who also taught piano and voice lessons for more than 30 years. Kay had a deep love for music that filled her home and her heart. She found great delight in shopping, particularly online. She had a keen eye for beauty and a generous heart for others. Her faith in Jesus was unwavering, guiding her life and inspiring her songwriting and worship groups. One of her greatest joys was spending time in her pool, where she found peace and cherished moments with her family.

Kay is preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Toots Turbeville, her brother, Mike Turbeville, and her husband, Neal. She is survived by her children, Lance and Tracye Heldt, grandchildren, Austin & Mikayla Daniel, Alex Heldt, Zoee Heldt, and her favorite cousins, David and Priscilla Turbeville.
