Keenan is survived by his five children, Steven Howe, Natalie Howe, Keenan Howe Jr., Nahkoma Howe, and Nathan Howe, his loving grandchildren, siblings J. Les Howe, Raymi Ammon-Howe, and Lori Mansell-Howe, and several nieces, nephews, and extended family. Keenan dedicated his life to his family, was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to everyone. His tireless love and devotion to his family were evident throughout his life.
Keenan was born in Houston, Texas, graduated from Sam Houston High School, and received his Electrician’s License from AIECA Fort Worth/Tarrant County Chapter. He worked as an electrician at SPM Oil & Gas (formerly Weir Oil & Gas) for the past seventeen (17) years and leaves behind several friends and colleagues. He was also proud to be an instructor at Independent Electrical Contractor’s (IEC) Fort Worth/Tarrant County Chapter and thoroughly enjoyed teaching future electricians during first year January classes.
Keenan was always the one everyone called for help, and he would always be there for them every time. He would make dorky dad jokes, brag about his kids, and talk endlessly about baseball while munching on some sweets and drinking a Dr. Pepper. He enjoyed going to coin conventions (he was an avid collector), completing various weekend projects, going to the gym, watching documentaries and silly shows on television, “relaxing his eyes” at home, and spending time with friends and family whenever he could. He filled everyone’s life around him with happiness, laughter, and love.
A celebration of life was held for Keenan on Monday, November 22 at Elize Odom Recreational Center in Arlington, Texas. To honor Keenan’s final wishes, his family will scatter his ashes in the mountains of Tennessee, at sea, and in the Redwoods Forest in private ceremonies.
The family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to everyone in attendance and to those who were a part of Keenan’s life. He will be greatly missed.
