Ken was born October 31, 1928 in Lima, Ohio to Kenneth Sr and Edna Francis. He attended Shawnee High School in 1946 where he lettered in football and played trumpet in the band. After graduating from Bowling Green State University in 1950 with a Bachelor in Business Administration he served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Following military service he spent the better part of his career with Allstate Insurance Company as an arbitrator. He retired in 1989 to take on the full time job as a grandfather and great-grandfather. Ken was active in his church, played his trumpet, loved Big Band jazz and spent many hours in his woodshop making furniture for friends, family and his church.
He was a devoted Christian, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend who will be greatly missed.
Ken was preceded to the Lord by his wife of 67 years, Mary Evelyn Francis. He is survived by his wife Ann Lady Francis; sons, Mitchell Francis and wife Toni, Murray Francis and wife Sophie; grandchildren Douglas, Sarah, Kathleen, Rachel and Peter; great-grandchildren Evelyn and Hannah; sister Shirley Cook and brother Richard Francis.

A visitation for Kenneth will be held Monday, April 11, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012. A funeral service will occur Monday, April 11, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012. A committal service will occur Monday, April 11, 2022 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211.
