Kirksey Hughes

Nathalie Beth "Kirksey" Hughes was raised on the Northside of Fort Worth, she graduated from Northside High School in 1944. She married Tom Jack Hughes in 1948, they celebrated 56 years together before he passed away in 2004. They had 3 children, Stephen Kirksey Hughes, Rebecca Jane Estes, and LeeAnn Brothers.

Kirksey was a homemaker. She and Tom enjoyed running their small business, Hughes Garden Daylilies. Most recently, she lived at Legend of Mansfield Assisted Living. In her spare time she loved playing games like 42 dominoes, Rummikub, and Bunco. Her friends and family will always remember her for her quick wit, smiling face, and her love for everyone.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Tom Hughes, her daughter in law, Barbara Hughes, her parents, and her brother, Cornell Kirksey.

She is survived by her son, Steve Hughes, daughters, Rebecca "RedFox"Estes(former husband, David) and LeeAnn Brothers (husband, James). Grandchildren Robyn (Drew) and Avyn (Bryce) Estes, Tiffini Lilley (Collin), Bonnie Brothers, Chris Fraley(Kristi), and Christiana Ann Hernandez. Great grandchildren, Brennen and Reece Lilley, Saragrace Fraley, Crystal and Corrina Vera and Emily Hernandez. Also her cousin, Linda Misenhimer(Greg), two brothers, Neil Kirksey(Jerel) and Michael Claunch(Sylvia).

A visitation for Kirksey will be held Wednesday, March 20, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Tate Springs Baptist Church, 4201 Little Rd, Arlington, TX 76016. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, March 20, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 4201 Little Rd, Arlington, TX 76016. A committal service will occur Wednesday, March 20, 2024 from 2:15 PM to 2:30 PM at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211.
