Happy Birthday my Dear Wife Lana

I will love you always!

Some people make a difference
just being who they are,
Their inner light shines bright
and touches lives
both near and far,
And even when they are gone,
they still forever play a part
in the smiles,
the priceless moments,
that are treasured in the heart.

To the amazing Red Head,
We were born cousins just two years apart, but after Heide passed away, you became my second sister. You were always fearless, and I was the fearful one. I admired you and wanted to do everything you did.
For example, as a child you signed up for swimming lessons and took to the water like a fish. So I signed up for the class only to be rescued from the bottom of the pool by the instructor when I didn’t come up for air – never did learn to swim. You took up roller skating at the local rink in Haltom City, so I did too. I broke my arm. You were a majorette in school so I decided to become one as well. You tried to teach me to twirl and throw the baton. All I managed was bruises on my arms and multiple baton hits to the head. You were an original and just couldn’t be duplicated!
Your heart was so big and full of love and kindness for everyone you met. In turn, they loved you right back. You often told me you loved Blake like he was one of your own, and he thought of you like a second mother. That was okay with me – you were my second sister. Your zest for life and all those around you was amazing. Even with your diagnosis, you fought like a princess warrior with strength, dignity, grace and an ongoing sense of gratitude for your doctors and family. Never once did you say “why me.”
Your mother always called you Lana Sue. As a child I called you Sue and always have. The rest of the world and your friends called you Lana. On September 30th you received a new name we can all agree on – Heavenly Angel.
I will miss you every single day and will continue to talk to you every single day – it will bring comfort.
All our love,
Jan and Blake

Mrs.Lana!!! I truly will miss her! She was such a loving person, Beautiful inside and out. She had such a humble Spirit I feel like I’ve known her for years that’s how much of an impact she had on my life in just a Short time. She was such a Positive woman full of wisdom. She was so kind and Sweet she treated me like I was her own. I really enjoyed sitting with her and sharing our life stories with each other. I always encouraged her no matter what the situation looked like she was going to be okay. Mrs.Lana is with the Lord now. God has taken away all of her pain, all of her tears and all of her worries. She is at Peace now and we all should rejoice knowing that she is in a better place. She will Truly be missed. Love you Mrs.Lana!💖

Our deepest sympathy our family loved Lana. Lana was a great horsewoman and we were lucky enough to have her as a customer but most importantly was a dear friend of our family. One of the most intelligent woman I ever been associated with. I personally am going to miss Lana. Boy did we have fun on the road! When you were with Lana she made sure everyone around her enjoyed themselves. Lana loved traveling and showing horses and all her animals traveled with her! Nothing but dear and and fond memories of a gracious woman. She loved our family and we loved her.
