

Leo Joseph Wentz, 90 of Arlington, Texas died July 23, 2016 in his home surrounded by his loving family. Leo was born July 22, 1926 near Esmond, ND. He was the son of Mike and Christine (Fettig) Wentz. He attended the Rich Valley rural school, North Fork rural school and the Benson County Aggie School in Maddock. He married the love of his life, Regina Schneider on November 19, 1947 in Esmond. They lived an farmed south of Esmond in Rich Valley Township. He went to North Dakota school of Science receiving a degree in Diesel Mechanics and later became a Millwright for the Military Contractor building the ICBM missles in North Dakota. Leo was always very mechanical and very handy and was known to be able to create a tool for something if none existed and he could fix or weld anything. In 1971 they moved to Harvey. Leo continued to farm until he retired in 1981, at which time he still made daily visits to the farm to work. He lived out his retirement n Harvey and later moved to Texas. His greatest pride and joy was his family and he cherished all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Leo is survived by his ten children: Leann Wentz, Oakwood, TX, Renee (Larry) Strand, Ham Lake, MN, Sheila Enderle, Arlington, TX, Karen (Rick) Hammond, Volga, SD, Mickey Wentz, Phoenix, AZ, Leo (Michelle) Wentz, Jr, Plano, TX, Rhonda (Lyle) Knudson, Harvey, ND, Mike Wentz, Arlington, TX, Kristy Farley, Cordoba, TN, Carole (Manuel) Piedra, San Juan Capistrano, CA, 18 Grandchildren and 14 Great-Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Eva "Mary" Wentz, Antonia Potter, Francis Zeller, and brother Edward Wentz.
Funeral Service will be Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at 3:00p,m at Moore Funeral Home Chapel in Arlington, TX with Internment to follow.
