Murph, was a dear and fun friend to many.  Ernie and I always enjoyed him and J.B. at the cookoffs and their sense of humor.  I remember on St. Patty's Day how he would get enough and sit indian cross legged.
Two sayings that Murphy would say is "Thank You for buying my records" as he exited the Golden Nugget.
One in particular was "It is always a better day when I see you."
Murphy was a true gentleman and will be greatly missed by many.

Wayne and I go way back to the early 60's. Have not seen him for several years but we were room mates after college. We even moved to Dallas for a year or two. He was a great guy and always funny. We had a lot of good times together.  He will be missed.

Wayne was a good friend and a really good guy. We shared many great times together. Thursdays were the Geezer Lunch at the Main Street Cafe, many Wednesday mornings - breakfast with Jimmy and Shirley McElreath, delivering meals-on-wheels every week, Colonial Golf Tournaments, Realtor breakfast and luncheons, 
annual trips to the rodeo with John Forbes and Tracy Jackson and many other good times. I really hated to see him go, but under the circumstances, I am sure it was a blessing. 
Rest In Peace Mr. Murphey.

A good man has departed from us.    Wayne, who everyone called “Murph” was a great individual.   Always kind, always smiling and always had time to visit.     From his personal attire, his attitude and his concern for others, Murph displayed all the exact way it should be.  A rare find.
