She was the oldest of 5 children and her family was her greatest joy. She graduated from Millard High School in Omaha, Nebraska and remained an avid fan of the Cornhuskers. Leslie was a beloved sister to her siblings, Kathleen Pearson (husband Joseph), James Kane, Carolyn Rogan (husband Michael), Michael Kane (wife Traci). She enjoyed traveling for family reunions with extended family, Hallmark movies, and keeping up with the family stories. She adored her 10 nieces and nephews and recently traveled to Australia to meet her great nephew. Leslie was extremely thoughtful and never forgot a birthday. She is preceded in death by her father, Joseph Kane.

Leslie's beautiful heart was always apparent. Leslie always had a smile and a kind word for her classmates. I was reconnected with Leslie via FB, and sure enough, her first words to me were genuine and kind.

My thoughts are with Leslie's family and friends as you celebrate her life.
