Linda C Jones

She was born in Hugo, Oklahoma on July 28, 1951. Linda graduated from Hugo High School and received her Bachelors in Science in Medical Records Administration from Southwestern Oklahoma State University, as well as her MBA from Dallas Baptist University. She was married to the late James Howard Jones Jr. on December 24, 1969.

Linda had a career in Health Information Management for various hospitals. She was a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Silhouettes and had a passion for creating crafts, cooking, working puzzles, and spoiling her children, grandchildren, and great-grandson.

She is survived by her children, James H. Jones III (Tracy) of Plano, TX and Jada L. (Jones) Hartfield (David) of Huntsville, AL; grandchildren, James H. Jones, IV, Jonathan P. Jones, Olivia L. Hartfield, Amelia L. Hartfield, and David “Langston” Hartfield; great-grandson, James H. Jones, V; siblings, John Akins, Emma Davis, Donnie Akins, and Diane Shaw.

A visitation for Linda will be held Sunday, December 12, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012. A funeral service will occur Monday, December 13, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Mount Olive Baptist Church, 301 W Sanford St, Arlington, TX 76011. A committal service will occur Monday, December 13, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012.

Although it is greatly appreciated, in lieu of flowers, the family has requested plants or monetary or gift card donations be made.
