

Lonnie Charles Maxcy passed peacefully the morning of Friday, November 18, 2022. Born April 8th, 1951, an army brat as he put it. Mother, Jenny Frances Dame Maxcy. Father (military lifer) Stanley Bryan Maxcy, born in Portland, Oregon. As a military family, they lived in Japan, Panama Canal, and military bases in the U.S. Lonnie had 2 sisters, Jolene Smith(deceased). Bonnie Fosgate(deceased).
2 brothers, Stanley Brian Maxcy Jr.(deceased) & James Howard Maxcy(deceased).
Lonnie was a Plastics Engineer and started his career in Alabama at 18 years old as a box boy. He loves Texas and moved here permanently in 1969. He married and had 1 daughter, Gail Leanne Maxcy Roberds.
Lonnie worked at Texstar Plastics in Arlington for several years and then went on to manage plastics at I.M.I plastics in Fort Worth, Caprock Mfg. in Lubbock, TX, Fisher Price Toys in Matamoros, Mexico, Conteco in El Paso, TX. Lonnie then started his own molding company, Maxcy Molding Technology in Haltom City and RGF Components in Fort Worth. Engineering employees in El Paso called him E.T. and presented him with a lab coat. He was respected and loved by many in the industry.
Lonnie and Beverly Thompson Maxcy were married in 1983. His step children admired and loved him as he did them. Traci Green, Keith From and Ryan From.
He is survived by his 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and his nephew Paul Allen Terry and niece Loni Sipes Fosgate.
Lonnie (Pop) was an avid fisherman. He helped many of us get through hard times with a fishing pole in hand. “Hey croppie, croppie, croppie…”
May God grant that Lonnie’s memory never expire us, and may his soul be bound up in the bond of eternal life, together with the souls of all the righteous that are in Thy keeping…
