

Loran was born in Blue Grove, Texas on April 28, 1919. In 1942, he enlisted in Army Air Corps where he trained in air traffic control. After initial assignment in Ft Nelson and Whitehorse and eventual assignment in 1944 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, he met and married the love of his life, Lena. After discharge, they moved to Texas. Loran's gentle and calm demeanor, easy smile, laughter, sense of humor, and endless stories will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to be a part of his life.
He is survived by his son, Ralph, and wife, Kim; daughter, Gerry, and husband, Dennis; daughter, Sharon; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and numerous friends.
Visitation for Loran will be Wednesday, August 3, 2022 from 6-8pm at Moore Funeral Home for friends and those who loved and admired Loran to pay respects to the family. Funeral services will be held August 4, 2022 at 11:00am at First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ in Arlington. Burial will be at DFW National Cemetery at 2:15pm.
