Marcelo Munoz was born October 30, 1926 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. He moved to Mercedes, TX in 1945. While in Mercedes he became a self-made successful businessman of Alto Food Center and wonderful father to six children and three adoptive children. He was a founding member of the Knights of Columbus chapter of our Lady of Mercy as well as a life-long member of the parish. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, sister and granddaughter.

(Colin) Ross of Brookline, NH, Zelina (Glenn) Munoz-Friedman of Santa Monica, CA, Zerina (Todd) Dickinson of Arlington, TX, Maria Coker of Mercedes, TX, Minerva Bernal of McAllen, TX, Jonathan (Diana) Munoz of Mercedes, TX; 19 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
