Margaret “Sue” Wright Webb passed on Saturday, January 16, 2021. Our family grieves her loss, but know she is in a better place than we are at this time. We are a family of faith and we believe that she is safe with God. She joins members of her family that have gone on before and have welcomed her with joy and open arms.
These include her parents Hubert Coy Wright and Helen Rowena Sneed Wright, her brother Wesley “Skip” Wright, and her nephew, Coy Wright. Sue is survived by the family she loved dearly, including her three daughters and their spouses: Kathy and Chuck Carder of Victoria, Texas; Troy and Barbara Nichols of Georgetown, Texas; and Marilyn Johns. Her legacy continues with her four grandchildren: Mark Cravy, Michelle Cravy Hubert, Natalie Nichols Wyll, and Nolan Nichols. Her great-grandchildren are Madeline Cravy, Aiden Hubert, Levi Nichols, Lucy Nichols, and Wyatt Nichols.
Sue was born in Cooper, Texas on May 21, 1937. The majority of her life unfolded in Fort Worth, Texas and she loved Cowtown. She was a mom and homemaker at heart. Feisty and fierce, but also a deep pool of love. She was a great cook; her biscuits and home-cooking will be missed by all. Many of our family’s fondest memories were made around her kitchen table which always had room for one more. She had an amazing green-thumb and always surrounded herself with life. She was a snazzy dancer, particularly Country and Western styles – her grace and style were unparalleled. Most importantly she was a caregiver. Esther 4:14 says “Perhaps this is the moment for which you have been created.” She cared for her parents and her youngest daughter Marilyn both gallantly and tirelessly.
In closing, our family would like to thank her neighbor, Michael Richards; the truest of friends, always helping Sue in thick and thin. We wish to thank the staff of Falcon Ridge Nursing Home, where Marilyn still resides. The grace and compassion of the Hospice workers, doctors and nurses, particularly Susan LaPrairie, who cared for Sue in her final hours at Seton Hospital in Round Rock, Texas were a gift to all of us. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Susan G. Komen foundation would honor Sue and her mother, Rowena.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord,
“Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
