Marian Jean Johnson, 95, passed away Friday, February 4, 2011. Funeral: 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at Moore Memorial Chapel in Arlington. Interment: El Paso.
Jean was born to William and Eslie Mae Mann on December 21, 1915. She served as a missionary for 35 years in Ecuador, South America and in Mexico. After retirement, she continued working in the translation of the Bible study materials. In her final years she enjoyed making quilts for various relief programs. Marian leaves behind a family who loves her dearly. Son, Ted Johnson and wife, Cathy of Richardson, Texas; daughters, Karen Couch and husband, Frank of Lascarsas, Tennessee and Darlene Taylor of Arlington, Texas; grandchildren, Nina Cardona, Jason and Darek Taylor; great-grandchildren, Jessica and Edward Cardona, Breia and Aria Taylor.
