Martha K Norton

She was born in Fulbright, Texas, to Morris and Helen Lassiter on April 16, 1947. She married the love of her life in October 1969, Kenneth Joe Norton who preceded her in death in 2007.

Martha loved to be there for others and would give you the shirt off her back and then some. She rarely sat still if she could help it. When she wasn’t working or helping others, she loved to travel, fish, read romance novels, watch Law and Order, sew, and listen to country music. She shared her love of food with family and friends, which usually consisted of a homemade pie or cake.

She worked for the Arlington School District for 33 years as a secretary. She was loved by all that knew her.

Martha is survived by her younger brother, James “Jimmy” Lassiter; step children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, coworkers and friends. All of these she loved and admired greatly.
