Martha was born in Fort Smith, Ark., on Aug. 2, 1924, to Charles Larkin and Hattie Mae Housley. After graduation form Northside High School, she married the love of her life, George Kenneth Orton. After 62 years of marriage he died in 2005. They moved to San Antonio in 1959 and then to Atlanta, Ga., for a number of years before retiring to Arlington in 1979. She was awarded lifetime membership in the PTA and was active in Beta Sigma Phi and WSCS. She enjoyed eight years working as an attendance secretary at Krueger Junior High in San Antonio. She loved all people and was a prayer warrior who was always concerned about others. Martha loved the Lord, her husband and three sons very deeply.
Survivors: Sons, Ken Orton Jr. of Fort Worth, Charles Orton of Houston and Michael Orton of Arlington; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
