Mary (Carranco), who grew up in Corpus Christi, was a devout Catholic and a graduate from Incarnate Word Academy. On February 17, 1945, she married the love of her life, her best friend, Arthur Michael Hernandez. Their union lasted over 66 years until Dad, a World War II veteran, passed away in the spring of 2012. Our loving Mom joined our Dad and the angels above on Thursday evening October 31, 2013. She passed peacefully surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she loved dearly.
Mom was a loyal wife and a devoted and loving Mother to her seven children. She was a supportive business woman to her husband who jointly owned Ralph's Uniform stores in several Texas cities. She was a faithful member of Saint Matthew Catholic Church.
Most importantly, our Mom will be remembered for her unwavering faith and strong commitment to family values. Her kindness, selfless love and care for others were examples for all who were blessed to know her.
Our fondness memories were the numerous summer picnics, holiday gatherings and achievement celebrations of all the children, grandchildren and great children which brought immense joy and happiness to her life.
