Mary Kathalene Malone, 64, passed away on August 13, 2026. Born on October 9, 1961, in Fort Worth, Texas, Kathy was the daughter of Barbara Malone and Richard Malone, and her life was marked by a steady devotion to faith, family, and doing what was right—even when it required quiet bravery and uncommon strength. Kathy resided in Roanoke, Texas.
Raised in Haltom City, Kathy graduated from Apostolic Christian School in 1980. A diligent and hardworking student with a wise, thoughtful way of applying herself, she went on to distinguish herself academically—graduating as Valedictorian and earning placement on the Dean’s List at Mansfield Business School, completing her studies with a 3.5 CGPA at graduation in 1987.
Kathy built a long and honorable career through perseverance and self-motivation, becoming self-taught in her field and working as a systems engineer for Hilltop Holdings for 25 years. She carried herself with honesty and loyalty, and those who knew her understood that her steady patience and gentle competence were never for show—they were simply part of who she was, day after day.
At the center of Kathy’s life was a faithful love for Jesus and a compassionate heart that made space for others. She found joy in reading, spending time with her grandkids, going to church, reading her Bible, and playing Bible games—simple rhythms that reflected a life of sincere devotion. She was beloved and cherished not just for what she did, but for the kind-hearted way she did it: with generosity, forgiveness, and a selfless concern that made others feel safe, seen, and cared for. Her amazing cooking became its own kind of comfort and love—shared freely, offered thoughtfully, and remembered always.
Kathy will be remembered as a pillar of strength and resilience, an inspirational presence, a great friend, and a devoted mother and nana. She was a loving sister and daughter, and those closest to her knew her as a woman of uncommon gentleness who still carried herself with steady courage.
