

Mary Katherine Anderson Petsche entered the kingdom of Heaven at 10:28 PM Thursday February 4, 2016. She passed at home comforted by her husband, children, and grandchildren. Viewing will be held at Moore Funeral Home 1219 N Davis Dr. in Arlington on Saturday, February 6, from 5-7 PM. Funeral services will be held at Grace Lutheran Church 210 W. Park Row Dr. in Arlington on Monday, February 8, at 10 AM. Entombment will follow at Moore Memorial Gardens.
Kathy to her friends, Grandma to her family, was born in Jacksonville, Ohio November 29, 1933. She was raised by her mother Elizabeth Kempton Anderson and grandmother Ina Kempton. An outstanding student Mary Katherine graduated first in her class of 26 from Jacksonville High School in 1950. 43 years later she graduated Summa Cum Laude from SMU in Dallas with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in psychology. She met her husband to be, Arnold Petsche, in Cleveland in 1951. Kathy and Arnold married in June 1953. Daughter Susan Elizabeth was born in Biloxi, Mississippi in 1953, son Alan Ernest in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1957, daughter Julia Anne in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1961 and son John Arnold in Arlington, the great state of Texas in 1967. Kathy and Arnold founded the A.E. Petsche Company, an aerospace wire and cable distribution business, after finally settling in Arlington, Texas in August 1966. They grew the family business into an international company with over 300 employees before retiring and selling the company in 2009. Kathy was a member of the Daughters of the Revolutionary War (DAR) and proud to be a direct descendent of an American Revolutionary War patriot, Thomas Lottridge. She led an adventurous life, three times crossing the entire continent of Europe (including the snowcapped Alps of Italy) riding on the back of Arnold’s motorcycle. Grandma loved her savior Jesus Christ, her family, the Dallas Cowboys and the taco dinner at the Candlelite Inn Restaurant. She received pure joy in life from the love she gave to and received from her grandchildren.
Kathy was preceded in death by her son John and daughter Susan. She is survived by her husband Arnold, son Alan and wife Bonnie, daughter Julie Davidson and husband Glenn, and eleven grandchildren.
