A visitation will occur Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Waller Funeral Home , Oxford, Mississippi. A memorial service for Mary will be held Sunday, April 8, 2018 at 4:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home, Arlington, Texas. A private internment will occur at Eastover Memorial Cemetery, Oxford, Mississippi.
Mary a devoted wife and mother, she was a member of Fielder Church in Arlington, Texas and formerly a member of Clear Creek Baptist Church and North Oxford Baptist Church. She was a passionate member of the Gideons International Auxiliary. Mary was a graduate of Hendrix College, she earned her Master's degree in library science at LSU. During her time in Baton Rouge she met and married her husband Edgar Wood.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Charlotte Wood and spouse Edwina Davis of Lexington, KY; Alice Webb and husband Steve of Arlington, TX; A sister Margaret Bragg of St. Charles, MO; 4 grandchildren Marianne, Megan, Jon and Emily; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
