Mason Andrew Yancy

Mason was born on June 15th, 1993 in Arlington, Texas to the parents of Gary and Monica Yancy. He is survived by his parents, his older sister Mallory Yancy, his half-brother Darren Yancy & his wife Carol Yancy and their four children, his half-sister Rae Lynn Yancy and her daughter, and dozens of aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by Elgene and Ruth Ellen Yancy, Paul and Martha Smith, aunt Deborah Martin, aunt Glenda Roberts, uncle Wayland Yancy, and dogs Gizmo and Rocket.

Mason was an avid lover of the outdoors and grew up spending time camping or going to the family’s lake house in Texoma. Mason’s love of the water and fishing is what sparked his own fishing company, Boiyancy Fishing Co. Along with his love of the outdoors came his passion, dare I say, obsession, with his Blue Ford F-150 Raptor. He loved to go off roading and would find places to fish or disc golf on his adventures.

Mason never met a stranger and had friends from all walks of life and backgrounds. He loved music, especially Reggae, and traveled the states to go to shows and festivals to meet new people and share the love. He was a huge fan of the arts and pop culture and collected jewelry, paintings, glassware, knives, comic books, tattoos, and all things Star Wars related. He was able to go to Disney World and live out his Jedi dreams with his sister, Madeleine, and dog Hashbrown.

Mason was a bright light on this earth and loved to make others smile. We know he is shining his light down on us at this time, but his presence, love, and light here will forever be missed.
