Mickey Cromer DeGraff, 74, was called home by our Heavenly Father on Saturday, October 19th, 2024. She made her entrance to the world on April 5th, 1950, to Paul and Fern Cromer in Dodge City, Kansas.
Grand Prairie, Texas is where she was raised and continued to call home for the duration of her time here on Earth. After graduating from Grand Prairie High School in 1968, Mickey went on to begin her career and started a family of her own. She created a life that was rich in love, generosity, family, friendship and kindness. Throughout the years Mickey was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her.
When Mickey relaxed and enjoyed a moment to herself you could find her indulging in one of her many hobbies. She enjoyed bowling, playing soccer, sweeping the table while playing cards, watching the birds, or being nose deep in a book. Regardless of what it was she lived in the moment and enjoyed every second of it.
Mickey radiated kindness and was one of the most genuine, thoughtful people you could ever meet. She exemplified grace time and time again with a smile on her face and was always able to find the best in people. She had a givers heart and did everything in her power to make sure you knew you were loved. From baking banana bread every Christmas, calling you on every birthday, or sending a personalized card for each and every holiday, she displayed her love and generosity in so many ways. She was an inspiration to those around her and she will live on through the memories and actions of those whose lives she touched.
Mickey was preceded in death by her father Paul Cromer (1988), brother Mike Cromer (1989), and mother Fern Cromer (Beshears) (2008).
She is survived by her husband; Lawrence (Larry) DeGraff, children; Paul David Sudan and Victoria Lynn DeGraff, bonus children; Susan Perez and Christine DeGraff, grandchild; Abigail Lynn Dickson, as well as her life-long best friends; Billye W., Erne V., and Dee B.
In lieu of flowers we are asking for any memorial gifts be made to Breast Cancer Research on behalf of Mickey DeGraff.
