Mickey Adele Marquis, beloved daughter, sister, aunt and friend, entered this world on January 15, 1963, at Lackland AFB, San Antonio, Texas, and left this world to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 8, 2020, in Arlington, Texas, after a lengthy illness.
Mickey graduated from Waco High School in 1981 and earned a degree in Computer Science from DeVry University. She worked in management at several retail stores throughout her career.
Mickey was kind and tender-hearted and loved her family and her pets. She loved unicorns and the color purple. She loved talking with family and friends on the phone and, even when ill for so long, remained upbeat and positive. She was a fighter. Several times when the doctors gave up on her, Mickey fought back so she could spend more time with her loved ones.
She is survived and will be sorely missed by her mother, Mickey (Wheeler) Marquis and Janie Rollins; her father, Kenneth Marquis, and wife, Carol; brother, Kenneth, Jr. and wife, Suze; sister, Laurie, and Joe; nephew, Robby, and wife, Krista; niece, Ali and husband, Jonathan; nephew Michael and wife Yessenia; nephew Matthew and wife Ashly; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank all the family, friends and churches that prayed so faithfully for Mickey. Since Mickey loved animals so much, if someone would like to make a gift in Mickey’s name, we would request they give to the Humane Society.
