Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday, July 18, at Moore Funeral Home in Arlington. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 17, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Bowen had resided in Arlington since 1973. She spent many years in the medical profession as a nurse and X-ray technician. In the 1970s she was employed at Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. Marie was active in Women's Rotary and a member of First United Methodist Church in Arlington.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. "Bob" Bowen Sr.
Survivors: Children, Lynn Wheatley of Hamilton, Va., Jan Herzik of St. Petersburg, Fla., Julie Huffman of Chickasha, Okla., Robert J. "Joe" Bowen Jr. of Arlington and Lisa Springer of Azle. A loving mother and grandmother, at the time of her passing Marie had 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
