Molly Ann Paradise Saenz, known lovingly by her family as “Grams,” passed away on March 29, 2026, in Arlington, Texas, at the age of 83. Although her passing was sudden, those who knew her will tell you she lived every single day with a full and generous heart.
Molly was born on August 4, 1942, in Edinburg, Texas to the late James and Juanita Paradise. She was proud of her roots in the Rio Grande Valley and carried that warmth with her throughout her life. A graduate of Edinburg High School, Molly was ambitious from the start, always looking ahead and finding ways to make life better for the people around her.
She married the love of her life, Daniel Saenz, and together they built a home in Grand Prairie, Texas where she lived for 57 years, a fairy tale love story. Molly was a Data Analyst at Lockheed Martin for 28 years where she met some of her greatest friends. Her home was always filled with love, laughter, and the most incredible aromas drifting from the kitchen. If you knew Molly, you knew her cooking! Baking and cooking were not just hobbies for her; they were how she showed love. Every dish she prepared was made with care and every meal at her table felt like a celebration.
Being a grandmother was her greatest joy, and she poured herself into the role with everything she had. Her grandchildren were her world, and she made sure they never forgot it. She loved watching them all play sports and traveling with them to games. She loved the game of baseball; but really Juan Gonzalez if truth be told. She loved to make her grandchildren laugh (often in a quiet movie theater); constantly claiming to be a comedian. She always brought out the spirit of each holiday, decorating her home for each. Family meant everything to Molly, always the party planner, including several family reunions; always wanting to keep the family together.
So many people looked up to Molly, she was courageous in a quiet, steady way, strong, fearless, and dedicated. She was genuine to her core; the kind of person who made you feel seen and valued the moment you walked into a room. Her kindness was not something she put on for show, it was simply who she was. She was classy, spunky and the life of the party. She was extremely competitive and often expressed that trait during card and board games.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, Daniel Saenz; her son David Saenz (Judy), her daughters, Debra Marroquin (Ricky), Clara Paradise, and daughter-in-law Margie Saenz; along with twelve grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Juanita Paradise, and sons Daniel Saenz Jr., and Adrian Rey Ramirez.
Molly’s devout Christian faith was the foundation of her life, and she now rests peacefully in the arms of her Lord and Savior.
