Service: 1 p.m. Saturday at Moore Funeral Home Chapel in Arlington. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Myron was born October 17, 1921 in Celina to Lester Dickerson and Clare Tucker Dickerson and was the oldest of 4 children. He attended school in Celina. He married his soul mate Frances Veola Wilson on March 16, 1946 in Fort Worth. Myron was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church of Forrest Hill where he was very active, including being a deacon. He always wanted to be outside sitting in the sunlight, fishing, feeding squirrels and playing with dogs. Myron joined the United States Navy on June 5, 1942 during World War 2 and served faithfully for 4 years. After he honorably separated he held a variety of jobs, life insurance agent, school custodian along with a few more.
Myron was preceded in death by his wife Frances of 68 years, his parents, brother Ray Dickerson and sister Dorothy Kissinger. Also daughter-in-law Darla Dickerson and 2 grandsons, Andrew Thorne and Matthew Dickerson.
Survivors: All four children, daughter Vickie Varner of Fort Worth; son Dicky Dickerson of Burleson; daughter Penny Singleton and her husband Tim of Abilene; son Craig Dickerson and his wife Darlene of Godley. Grandchildren Marcia Thorne, Emily Dickerson, Amber Webb and husband Ken, Christopher Varner, Amanda McDaniel and husband Eric, Justin Parker and wife Becca, Daniel Varner, Travis Dickerson and Cody Dickerson. Great-Grandchildren Kristen Thorne, Hailey Webb, Ethan Webb, Brady Clemons, Tylar Parker, Skylar Parker and Taylar Parker and extended family.
