Ned Elam Dickey

Ned Elam Dickey, 77, of Arlington passed away Monday December 14, 2015 in Arlington. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, December 18, 2015 in Moore Funeral Home Chapel, followed by a reception at Rolling Hills Country Club, 401 Lamar Blvd East, Arlington, TX 76011.

Ned was born January 5, 1938 in Itasca, Texas to Arthur Dickey and Mamie Mercer Dickey. He attended college at SMU. He married Martha Jane “Cindy” Sanders in 1987 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mr. Dickey worked for National Convenience Stores for 17 years and for the Southland Corporation for 10 years. He was the owner of Ned Dickey Farmers Insurance in Arlington from 1988 to 2000. Ned enjoyed playing golf and was a member of Rolling Hills Country Club.

Mr. Dickey was preceded in death by eight siblings.

Survivors include his wife Cindy of Arlington, three sons; Ned Dickey Jr., Russell Dickey and his wife Anna, David Dickey and his wife Natalie, eight grandchildren; Dylan Dickey, Elise Dickey Lopez, Nate Dickey, Nash Dickey, Maddy Dickey, Neal Dickey, Kirstyn Dickey, and James Dickey, three great-grandchildren; Jacob Lopez, Oscar Lopez, and Beau Dickey and two sisters Glenda and Bonnie.
