Nellie Ruth Brink Wood

Funeral: 12:30 p.m. Friday at Moore Funeral Home. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

Nellie Ruth Wood was born Dec. 12, 1914. She was baptized in 1932 and was one of Jehovah's Witnesses for 78 years. Nellie was the youngest of 10 children and was the last survivor. She grew up in Waco, where she married Paul D. Wood and was the proud mother of eight boys and one girl. Nellie lived in Arlington for the last 25 years to be close to her children. Nellie will be remembered for her great love of her God, Jehovah, her love for her family and a wonderful sense of humor.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alonzo and Cora Brink; her husband, Paul D. Wood; and one son, Bobby D. Wood.

Survivors: Sons, Paul and wife, Dody Wood, of Arlington, Danny and wife, Sandy Wood, of Arlington, Roger Wood of Mansfield, Keith and wife, Linda Wood, of Arlington, James and wife, Tressa Wood, of Dallas, Troy and wife, Lisa Wood, of Arlington and Gary and wife, Cindy Wood, of Arlington; daughter, Paula and husband, Joel Rainey, of Mansfield; 22 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and her loving and faithful dog, ChaCha.
