Nelson was born in Dallas, Texas where he spent most of his life. He was honorably discharged from military service in the Air National Guard in 1952.
Nelson worked 40 years as an Electrical Manufacturers Representative, 12 years in Lubbock and the remainder in Dallas. He sold his company and retired in 1996.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Fred and Katie Maudlin.
Nelson had many friends and business associates over the years. All of them were likely impressed by his great ability to recall dates and details.
A visitation for Nelson will be held Monday, February 19, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, Texas 76012.
A graveside service with Masonic Rites will occur Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, Texas 76012.
