Nhat Van Dao, aged 75, of Bedford, Texas passed away peacefully on November 3, 2023 surrounded by his family. Nhat is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Hoa Dao, their children, Vu Dao and Ly Kwon and his sister, Ba Dao. He will also be dearly missed by his four grandchildren, Miles Dao, Khloe Kwon, Maya Dao and Valentino Kwon. Nhat will be sorely missed by many relatives and friends he has made over his lifetime.
Nhat was born in 1948 in Saigon, Vietnam as the first of three children. He later was part of the Vietnamese Airforce from 1969-1975 where he was a Medi-Vac helicopter pilot who carried troops behind enemy lines and picked them up. He always cherished that time in his life, calls it one of his best memories and provided him with life long friends. In 1975 during the fall of his beloved homeland, he immigrated with his family to start a life in the United States. There in Texas, he successfully obtained a Bachelors of Science degree at East Texas State University and held a career as a QA Engineer.
A visitation for Nhat will be held Saturday, November 11, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012. A funeral service will occur Sunday, November 12, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Moore Memorial Chapel, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012. A burial will occur Sunday, November 12, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012.
