

Surrounded by his family, Norman E Wright, 75, peacefully went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011. His journey with multiple myeloma, a treatable but not curable disease, was a successful eight years.
Funeral: 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 N. Davis, Arlington. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens.
Memorials: Highland Baptist Church, 415 New York Ave., Arlington, Texas 76010, or a charity of choice, in lieu of flowers.
Norman retired after many years in the finance business to open his own commercial property maintenance company. In recent years he went on to fulfill God's plan for his life as pastor of Highland Baptist Church. Norman served in the U.S Air Force.
He devoted his life to youth activities and the spreading of God's word. He was honored for his many years of dedication and service by the Boy Scouts of America with the Silver Beaver Award.
Survivors: A loving brother, husband, father, granddad and "old granddad," Norman loved God and his family, his wife of 53 years, Jackie; brother, James "Buzz"; son, Tommy and wife, Darcy; son, Robert and wife, Carmen; granddaughter, Stefanie Collett and husband, Zach; granddaughter, Tiffany Clements-Wright; grandchildren, Alex and Chandler Wright; and great-grandchildren, Ryan, Paige and Titus "Norman" Collett and Rylie Clements.
