Olive Elizabeth Hughbank

Ollie Hughbank was born in San Diego, California, on December 16, 1921, to Lena and Jesse Reasor. She married Robert James Hughbank on September 5, 1941. She was married 51 years before the passing of her husband, retired Marine Corps Sgt. Maj. Robert J. Hughbank.

Ollie kept the family together while her husband fought in World War II and Korea. She was the quintessential Marine wife and mother who managed the family through two wars and several moves as Sgt. Maj. Hughbank was transferred to several duty stations in different states. Ollie held several jobs of her own and was a jack-of-all-trades but a master of none.

Ollie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Hughbank; parents; two brothers; one sister; and granddaughter, Vicky Lee Munke.

Survivors: Son, Robert Hughbank and his wife, Michele; daughter, Teri Munke and her husband, Chip; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren and one more on the way.
