Opal Francias Smith Rogers, 93, formerly of Kingsville, TX died June 14th 2016. Opal Rogers, daughter of Harry Greenberry Smith and Lily Anita Darby Smith, loving wife of Joel Elmo Rogers, Jr., passed away on June 14th at her living community in Richland Hills, TX after a battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband, Joel Elmo Rogers, Jr., brother, Henry Damon Smith, sister Anita Allen, and grandson, Joel Andrew Rogers, who resides in the N. Fort Worth area. Opal worked as a Retail Sales Associate at JCPenney until her retirement then participated in the North Texas Association Square & Round Dancing with Joe as square dancers, later became Presidents within the organization. She enjoyed spoiling her only grandson, traveling, gardening, and made time for everyone. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Visitation will be held this Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 1:00pm at Moore Funeral Home followed by Services at 2:00 p.m.
