Funeral: 3 p.m. Friday in Moore Memorial Chapel. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Moore Funeral Home.
Oscar was born in Camden, N.J., July 17, 1953. His family later moved to Texas where he attended Arlington High School, and remained a resident of Arlington for 45 years. Oscar was an avid sportsman; he loved music and played the guitar. He loved muscle cars and was a great mechanic. Oscar enjoyed spending time with his family, vacationing, and loved to be near the water. Oscar enjoyed boating, activities at the lake, and going to the beach.
Oscar was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar A. Wofford Jr. and Ruth Cooper Wofford.
Survivors: Oscar is survived by his sons, Oscar A. Wofford IV and wife, Julie, James Cody Wofford and Joseph Wofford; brother, Greg Wofford; sister, Sandra Lantrip and husband, Gary; grandchildren, Brook Scherr, Olivia Wofford, Hayden Wofford and Tyler Wellendorf; nieces, Kristen Jones, and Courtney Lantrip; and nephew, Jonathan Lantrip.
