Patricia Roessler

ARLINGTON -- Patricia M. Roessler, 78, passed away Monday, July 9, 2012. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Saturday, Grace Lutheran Church, 210 W. Park Row, Arlington. Visitation: The family will receive guests at the church following the service. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Grace Lutheran Church, where Patricia was a faithful member, or charity of donor's choice. Patricia, fondly known to family and friends as "Pat," was born Oct. 25, 1933, Chicago, Ill. She married the love of her life, Don, April 30, 1952. Together, they enjoyed travel and golf and were the best of friends in work and play. In 1980, Pat and Don formed the family business known as College Publishing. Pat dedicated her life to the business, where she remained a loyal partner until her passing. Pat will be remembered as having a "no nonsense" approach to life, but was never afraid to let loose with her jovial sense of humor when the occasion called for it. She was fiercely protective of her family, and worshipped her grandchildren. Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Don; son, Jim; parents, Ann and William Wilms; and brother, Bill Wilms. Survivors: Son, Rob; daughter-in-law, Tammy; grandchildren, Stephanie and Blake; and her nephew, Mike.
