

Patsy Ann Rash Walker, a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished “Nanny,” and faithful woman of God, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2026, at the age of 81. Born on November 15, 1944, to Charles Hamp Rash and Myrtle Rash, Patsy dedicated her life to her family, her faith, and the people she loved most.
At just 15 years old, Patsy met and married the love of her life, Rev. Vernon L. Walker Sr., who was 17 years old at the time. Together they built a beautiful life and shared a loving and devoted marriage that spanned nearly 50 years until his passing. Their union became the foundation of a strong and faith-filled family legacy that continues today.
Patsy was a woman known for her warmth, strength, kindness, and unwavering love for her family. More than anything, she treasured being surrounded by those she loved. Her greatest joy in life was being “Nanny” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

She leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and family through her children: Vernon Walker Jr. and his wife Deborah Walker; Lisa Ann Walker Thornton and her husband Brad Thornton; and Rev. Timothy James Walker and his wife Miosoti “Mia” Walker.
She is also lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Brent Walker and his wife Ashley; Joshua Thornton and his wife Karen; Melisa Nichols and her husband Stephen; Sarah Walker; Lauren Beeson and her husband Brennan; William Walker and his girlfriend Andrea Torres; Andrea Walker and her fiancé Demitri Villanueva; T.J. Walker and his fiancée Trinh Tu; and Amira Walker.
Her legacy continues through her beloved great-grandchildren: Julianna Walker, Jace Walker, Max Walker, Aubrey Walker, Alina Thornton, Stella Thornton, Eisley Nichols, Emery Nichols, Lindlee Beeson, and Leighton Beeson.

Patsy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rev. Vernon L. Walker Sr.; her parents, Charles Hamp Rash and Myrtle Rash; as well as several siblings and loved ones.
To know Patsy was to experience kindness, compassion, strength, and unconditional love. She leaves behind countless treasured memories, heartfelt laughter, and a family forever impacted by her prayers, sacrifice, and devotion.
Though deeply missed, her family rejoices knowing she is now reunited in eternal peace with those who went before her.
