From a very young age, Pearl was a hard worker, beginning her career at Dixie Kitchen while she was still in school. From there, she worked at an Air Force Base in Altus, Oklahoma for about four years before moving to Texas in 1969. Once there, she began working at Safeway. While still working at Safeway, she also worked at Denny's from 1973 to 1977. After Safeway closed in 1987, she opened her own business in home day care before working specifically with special needs young adults.
Pearl was a member of Harvest Time Pentecostal Church of God and had a passion for singing and writing gospel songs.
Pearl was survived by her children: Billy Craig, Lisa Craig, and Ashley Craig; her grandson, Barrett Craig; and her great granddaughter, Madison Craig. She is preceded in death by her siblings: Opal, Annie, Vernie, Beulah, Hazel, Bob, Sherman, and Herman.
