Peggy Joyce Angell

Peggy Joyce Angell passed away peacefully on Friday, September 4, 2026, in Arlington, Texas, at the age of 84. She was born October 7, 1941 in Kenton, Tennessee, to Ruby Henry, and was a longtime resident of Arlington, Texas.

Peggy graduated from Arlington High School in 1960. She went on to build a long and successful career as a shipping manager at Memo International, where she dedicated more than 30 years of service.

Peggy was an intelligent, headstrong, self-made, and fiercely independent woman who lived life on her own terms. Her journey took her from picking cotton to seeing the world, a testament to her determination, curiosity, and adventurous spirit. She was a lifelong learner and a member of Mensa.

In her spare time, Peggy enjoyed gardening, needle crafts, sewing, traveling, learning new things, collecting wind chimes, and astronomy. She found joy in exploring the world around her and in pursuing the many interests that kept her curious and engaged.

Peggy was especially devoted to her nieces and nephew when they were young. Some of her family's fondest memories were made during the time they spent together, and they will always cherish the many lessons she taught them and the memories they shared.

Peggy is preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Angell; her brothers, Bill Angell and Jimmie Angell; and her twin sisters, Jenny Angell and Ginger Angell.

She leaves behind her beloved nieces, Suzette Angell, Lisa Angell, and Billie Angell-Brewer; her nephew, Curtiss Angell; and great-nieces Roxanne Angell, Nikki Angell, Jessica Hilliard and great-nephews Camden Angell and Tony Brooks; and 11 great great-nieces and nephews who will carry her memory and the lessons she shared with them in their hearts.

Peggy will be remembered for her intelligence, independence, strength, and determination, as well as for the unique and adventurous life she created for herself. Her family and friends will forever cherish the memories of a remarkable woman who truly lived life on her own terms.
